I decided to post all my current screen shots in a public folder so I can make sure everyone can view Here are the links I will update as I continue to explore---If you have the means I would highly recommend this to everyone. This is by far the best MMO I have played since the early days of EQ. This is what Vanguard should have been..... Hope to see you all ingame. Tom

So tell us about time commitment here. Can you pop on for an hour and be productive or is it more like EQ where 3 hours and you're just getting something accomplished?

Nate,
I would say the time commitment is more in line with WOW than EQ at least in the early levels. All through open beta I would log in for 1 no more than 2 hours and get a lot accomplished.
Now End game -- 6 man raids and the PVP element of siege combat of Player made run guild cities might be a 4 to 6 hour afternoon but I am not sure as I have not reached that yet.
I really see this as a mature version of WOW in a way which is not a bad thing. We all enjoyed WOW for the first two years and I can see myself in AOC for at least that long if not longer. The game mechanics are very similar to the WOW interface with the addition of Age of Conan's unique combat system.
As I mentioned before I am on the Set server. I am really enjoying my Dark Templar. The servers are live as of right now as today is the 20th and the game has launched. I hope to see you all ingame.
I don't know if the Vent server is still up but if it is I will log in and give you some live information.

I'm really liking this game so far. I don't see it as a mature wow but in a way I kinda get the old EQ feeling a little bit these first fays of playing. Im not saying its like EQ but I'm getting that feeling I had when I first started playing EQ that drew me in that WoW didn't give me.
Will have to see how it goes down the road but it is good stuff so far and Funcom did a HELL of a job in the last week of beta putting polish and getting the game performance running tons smoother. I will say ya need a decent comp to play. 2 gigs of ram and a decent dual core are a must. The video card plays alot into it as well but saying that if you can play VG you can play this and for me its smoother. No hitching rocks.

Glad to Hear you are in the game.
So what server are you on. I am still on Set but been thinking about Wiccan for the Role playing aspect. I am also trying to decide what class to play but I do have a Dark Temp in his mid 20's name of Scarpion and Varrin is around 15.
If you are online send me a tell. Would love to hear from you.

I'm on OMM atm. I rolled with some friends I played WoW with but it took them all but a week to flake out and go back to WoW. I'm kinda in a pickle atm because I'm not sure if I want to stay there or reroll and then the EQ/EQ2 free shit came out so now I don't know what I wanna do lol. I'm not quitting AoC for EQ but hey free is free.
I'm kinda afraid to jump fully into AoC until they get some of the 30+ stuff added because I kinda go nuts and can level fast. I actually keep an eye on VG as well. I went back a while ago and I have to say they improved the game quite a bit so I'm in MMO limbo atm.
I might split my time with AoC and EQ2 and just see what happens. My Barb on Omm is Boom but lemme know where ya wind up. I actually have thought about switching to Dagoth where a guild I joined in VG moved to. They left VG as a guild for AoC so my options are wide open atm.
Funny thing is I have spent most of my time the last week taking apart some old comp cases and using my trusty dremel and tools I'm in a case mod frenzy. I'm to much of a cheap ass to buy a good case so I'm on a mission to mod a old one for superior cooling and quiet lol.. Fun shit. Needless to say just this morning I got my 6th metal shaving lodged in my foot because I like to work barefoot along with lack of shop vacing. I might post a pic or two when its done if anyone is interested. I just purchased 3 low speed 120mm Yate loon case fans and a yate 80mm and today is bondo day!
